Terms of Service
Last updated: July 4, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern use of TeamGuard, a messaging platform for youth sports clubs, provided by AbeleBuilt ("we", "our", "us"). By creating a club, accepting an invite, or otherwise using TeamGuard, you agree to these Terms.
Accounts and roles
A club administrator sets up the club and invites coaches, parents, and athletes. Each person is responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential and for activity on their own account. Accounts for minors are managed under the transparency and safety design described in our Privacy Policy, including automatic inclusion of a linked parent/guardian on relevant threads.
Subscriptions and billing
- New clubs receive a 30-day free trial. No credit card is required to start a trial.
- After the trial, continued access requires an active paid subscription (Starter, Standard, or Pro plan), billed monthly or annually through our payment processor, Stripe.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand.
- You can cancel or change your plan at any time from the club admin's billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods unless required by law.
- If a payment fails, we'll attempt to notify the club admin and may suspend access to paid features until payment is resolved.
Acceptable use
TeamGuard is built for communication within youth sports clubs. You agree not to:
- Use the platform to harass, threaten, or send content inappropriate for a youth sports environment.
- Attempt to bypass safety safeguards, including guardian visibility on monitored threads or club moderation tools.
- Use TeamGuard for any unlawful purpose, or to send content you don't have the right to share.
Club admins and coaches may hide or flag messages that violate these standards, consistent with the moderation tools built into the platform. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you choose to register or sign in with a phone number instead of an email address, you consent to receive text messages from TeamGuard at that number for the sole purpose of account verification and password reset. By providing your phone number, you confirm you are the owner or authorized user of that number.
- Message types: one-time verification codes and password-reset codes only. We do not send marketing or promotional messages via SMS.
- Message frequency varies based on your own account activity (e.g., how often you register, sign in, or reset your password).
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- For help, contact support@teamguard.app.
Content
You retain ownership of messages and content you send through TeamGuard. By sending content, you grant us the right to store and transmit it as necessary to operate the service, including retaining moderation/audit records for accountability purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.
Service availability
We aim to keep TeamGuard available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, and features may change as the product evolves.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
TeamGuard is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, and our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount your club paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. TeamGuard is a communication and compliance-support tool; it does not replace your club's own safety policies, background-check procedures, or legal obligations.
Changes to these Terms
If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify club administrators.
